SLAMIT Focus

If you’re looking for an energy drink that isn't full of junk, SLAMIT Focus is for you. This is a caffeine-free powder mix that's loaded with electrolytes, minerals and premium ingredients. Simply add it to your water and bring it to the courts on game day.

After trying out (and loving) the SLAMIT Hydrate electrolyte drink recently, I was curious about their energy drink alternative – SLAMIT Focus.

This brand has the backing of pros like Anna Bright and Zane Navratil, who sit on the SLAMIT ownership team. It’s made specially for pickleball players. Most importantly, though, does it improve your focus on the courts? Can it actually boost your game?

After two weeks of drinking SLAMIT Focus every time I play pickleball, I definitely felt the difference.

My verdict
SLAMIT is a great new hydration brand. Their Focus mix is amazing because it gives you all the benefits of an energy drink (alertness, sharper reactions, energy, focus) without the negatives (jitters, headaches, energy crashes, artificial ingredients in your body). It’s a clean alternative with amazing natural ingredients like Baja Gold® Sea Salt and real coconut water. It has no sugar, caffeine, or other junk. It’s pricier than most but it’s 100% worth it if you want the most enhanced performance you can get.

What’s in SLAMIT Focus?

SLAMIT uses six electrolytes in their Focus mix (most brands use three). They have ten times the electrolytes of leading sports drinks with 2278 mg.

The electrolytes are sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, manganese, and chloride. The potassium levels are increased (460 mg) for improved hydration and to prevent muscle cramping.

Here are some other special ingredients that set SLAMIT Focus apart:

Enfinity® Paraxanthine

This is a patented “breakthrough performance metabolite”. It delivers better mental sharpness, reaction time, and energy without needing caffeine. So, this is your performance booster but it’s clean so you don’t have to deal with energy crashes or jitters like when you drink caffeinated drinks.

It’s backed by four human clinical studies that show increases of over 20% in both mental focus and reaction time after using Focus. You can see the data on the product page.

GeniusPure® and TyroPure™

Two more patented “Brain Fuel” ingredients backed by clinical studies. The first is a choline compound that supports motor function and muscular contraction.

The second is tyrosine – an amino acid that boosts dopamine and other hormones that increase your mental focus.

Baja Gold® Sea Salt

SLAMIT is the only energy or electrolyte drink I’ve seen that uses unrefined Baja Gold® Sea Salt. This is the most expensive salt in the world but it’s also the most nutritious. Most other brands use cheap table salt that’s been super-processed to remove all the good minerals.

Baja Gold® Sea Salt comes from the Sea of Cortez in Mexico and is hand-harvested and sun dried. It has 90+ trace minerals that your body needs for optimal recovery and hydration. (When you sweat, you lose minerals so this helps you replenish.)

Real coconut water

I really liked that there was real coconut water powder in their Hydrate mix, and I’m happy to see it here too. I drink coconut water a lot when I’m feeling dehydrated. It’s so rich in potassium and really helps you feel replenished. It’s probably what helps SLAMIT’s drinks have so much more potassium than rival brands.

No junk

SLAMIT Focus has zero sugar, caffeine, dairy, soy, or gluten. It has no artificial colors, flavorings, sweeteners, or preservatives. It’s non-GMO and has only five calories. So you’re getting no junk and it still tastes way better than energy drinks in my opinion!

How SLAMIT Focus performs

Taste

I avoid energy drinks because I don’t like the artificial taste that most of them have. It's great to find a drink that really does boost my energy and sharpness but has an all-natural taste.

Both flavors are great – Mixed Berry Banger and Cherry Limeade.

Salt quality

SLAMIT’s “secret weapon” is their “superior salt”. As I said above, this is unrefined sea salt from the Sea of Cortez and it is excellent at replenishing the minerals you lose when you sweat, keeping you hydrated. I definitely felt super-hydrated on the courts.

Electrolyte ratios

When it comes to electrolytes, there’s no comparison between SLAMIT Focus and leading energy drinks. Brands like Monster have little to no electrolytes.

Even energy drinks like Reign Storm (340 mg) and Celsius (less than 50 mg) have super-low electrolyte levels, while SLAMIT Focus has a huge 2278 mg. This is double the amount of leading electrolyte drink brands.

It’s not just an energy drink, it’s a premium electrolyte powder too.

Overall focus

Most importantly, I actually did feel like my focus and concentration was enhanced. My reaction time was better, I felt sharper, and I felt super hydrated. I’m impressed with SLAMIT’s drink mixes.

How does SLAMIT compare to others?

Here are some pros and cons compared to other brands:

Pros

  • Made with premium ingredients:

other brands don’t have ingredients like Baja Gold® Sea Salt and real coconut water. It has double the electrolytes of most brands, too. This is better for you and it tastes better too.

  • Strong guarantee:

they offer to refund you if you drink SLAMIT and don’t play better pickleball.

  • For a good cause:

for every follower that SLAMIT Hydration gets on Instagram or Facebook, they donate $1 to help underprivileged kids attend their pickleball clinics.

Cons

  • Limited flavor selection:

there are just two flavors to choose from (Mixed Berry and Cherry Limeade) but I hear more are coming soon.

  • High price:

at $44 a bag, this is one of the most expensive drink powders but it’s a very premium product. Buy in bundles to save money, and use our 10% discount to make it $39.60.

Why you should consider using electrolytes

I highly recommend adding electrolytes to your pickleball routine. I never play without them anymore as I feel way more energized, hydrated, and focused. My overall wellbeing has improved too. I recover faster and feel in better shape.

I avoid artificial drinks like Monster, Gatorade, and Powerade. They might give you a temporary boost but they’re not adding any real minerals to your body.

Who SLAMIT Focus is for

If you drink a lot of sugary or artificially flavored energy drinks, switching to SLAMIT Focus can help you big time. You still get a great taste but you’re adding minerals and electrolytes to your body. You’ll feel a difference and play better pickleball.

If you’re using electrolyte powders already, try SLAMIT because they have the most electrolytes of any brand I’ve seen, and special performance ingredients too that you won’t find anywhere else.

As a health and fitness nut, and a pickleball addict, I definitely recommend SLAMIT to players.
